Our mission is to provide an education that enables all students to achieve full potential in a safe and caring environment.
We work hard to equip our students with the skills they will need for a successful transition to secondary school and to become competent global citizens.
Malvern Primary School is proud to be a fully accredited member of the Council of International Schools.
Learning and teaching is our core business with a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy skills. This rigorous program is supported by a diverse specialist teaching program that includes Music, Physical Education, Visual Arts, Sport, Drama, Italian, Mandarin, eLearning and Library. We also provide support and extension programs for students at all grade levels.
Malvern Primary School has played an important role in the life of our local community since 1884. Parent participation is valued and encouraged. Parents can be involved in a wide range of activities including membership of the School Council and its sub-committees, the Parents Association, classroom support, sport, camps, excursions, uniform shop, working bees, fundraising and family social events. Parents and the wider community have raised substantial funds which have allowed the school to acquire first class teaching resources.
I encourage you to learn more about our outstanding school by exploring this website or by paying us a visit.

Local Enrolments Children living within this area have a RIGHT OF ENROLMENT at the school and must be accommodated. Pressures on accommodation in recent years have been such that few, if any, children have been able to be accommodated from outside this area at Prep level. The situation may vary a little at other grade levels.
Enrolments are sought as soon as possible and at the latest by the end of Term 2 to assist in planning for the year.
Prospective International Enrolments – Malvern Primary School welcomes International Students. Please visit the DET International Students webpage to find out more about what’s offered, the process and requirements.
Tours are held on Thursday morning commencing at 9.30 am. Please contact school for more information and dates of tours. Parents are asked to gather in the staff room on arrival.
Each tour takes approximately one and a half hours. A tour provides an opportunity to see the school in operation and to ask questions.
This year’s tour dates are:

Parent Teacher Interviews
At Malvern Primary School, we use the Compass system to manage our twice yearly Parent Teacher interview bookings.
The booking system is opened a week prior to the interview day and closes on the Sunday before the interviews are to be held. Parents simply login to Compass to make their bookings.
Our new Konnective App went live on Monday August 26th, 2013. To gain maximum impact from this new mode of communication, we would encourage all parents to ensure that Konnective is operative on your smart phone.
Konnective is a new smartphone application that allows schools to securely send event alerts, notices and photos directly to parents’ smartphones. The application allows messages to be sent to targeted groups, enabling multiple messages to be sent by grade, class or specific event – a move that could avoid some of the pitfalls of sending notes home in school bags and enable schools to utilise the latest technology.
To register with Konnective and download the application, please click this (Konnective Registration) link and follow the instructions provided.
